Lucas EntertainmentLucas Entertainment just keeps on getting better and better. And Michael Lucas himself is a guy who is not afraid to stand up in the industry and have his voice heard. Recently the GayVN Awards took place at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco, hosted by Naked Sword. Porn actor Brent Corrigan was nominated for several awards (he won for ‘best bottom’) and Michael Lucas was in the audience. According to Lucas’ blog he has long stood against the risk that underage actors bring to the porn industry. You may know that there has been controversy surrounding Corrigan; allegedly he falsified his documents before being accepted to appear in adult movies – meaning that he was underage when he should have been 18. As an AVN article puts it: “Michael Lucas has been on a campaign against under-aged models for years, since at least 2005, when the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection warned the gay adult industry that Corrigan admitted he forged his identification just before his 17th birthday and worked for Cobra Video before he was of a legal age. Corrigan testified under oath about the forged documents during the murder trial of Harlow Cuadra, who was convicted in March of killing Cobra owner Bryan Kocis.” So, during the awards both Lucas and Corrigan took to the stage at various times and Lucas spoke out, saying that Corrigan should not have been nominated due to the previous controversy. (There is more to it than that of course and you can find out more details at both AVN and lucasblog.com. But, all that aside, let’s get back to Lucas Entertainment and what they are currently putting out for us porn addicts and other interested parties to enjoy. Lucas Entertainment is currently topping several viewer/surfer charts with a few of its productions. Checking out the tour area of lucasentertainment.com you’ll find that members’ top 10 include The Intern, 2007, La Dolce Vita parts 1 & 2, 2006 and still popular after three years, and part five of the Encounters series, Burning Desire, 2007. What’s neat about some of these titles, and others in the top lists, is that they come with trailers, blogs dedicated to them and photos of the stars. Though you will undoubtedly want to be, you don’t have to be a member of the site to get enough background information to help you decide if you want to buy the movies – or to sign up and view them in the members’ area.
Michael Lucas himself appears in The Intern as do super-hunks Ben Andrews, Derrick Hanson and Hispanic twink Jonathan Vargas. La Dolce Vita, which is fast becoming a classic, stars those three guys plus several others including Jason Ridge and the rather gorgeous Cole Ryan. This title won no less than 14 GayVN awards when it was released in 2007 sweeping the awards away with just about everything from Best Picture to Best Packaging. But Lucas is going further and ‘top 10’ charts other than its own are listing different titles. Farts, 2008, features 10 studs letting loose and opening their holes in hardcore scenes that come complete with sound – as they say, ‘five scene of the most memorable sounds you'll ever see.’ Yup, you too can hear Michael Lucas fart on screen! Or you can check out the Auditions series for Michael’s Bed, the 26th in the series; you'll see plenty of stars of the future here. And you'll see some of your favourite guys in titles such as Brother’s Reunion another soon-to-be classic from Lucas Entertainment. Which kind of takes us round in a circle as, in this movie, ‘on screen siblings Wilfried Knight and Anthony Marks show off their taboo relationship for the camera…’ More controversy lies in store, perhaps? |
